The Northern Center Basketball Men’s League

-Fees must be paid in full by first game. Minimum deposit of $50 shall be paid to be placed on the schedule

-Team Sponsors- encouraged, great opportunity for local business exposure

-Regular season will be a round robin. Team records at the end of the regular season will be used as seeding for a single elimination tournament that will lead to a championship game.

-If there are enough teams, and/or interest there may be 2 separate divisions and/or leagues, Senior Division and Junior Division. 

League Rules:

-Must be at least 16 years of age.  MHSAA rules dictate that high school players with eligibility may not play in an organized league.

-Teams MUST choose a team shirt color and shirts must have #’s for foul purposes.

-$5 swear fine will be assessed and must be paid at the conclusion of the game.  Teams will not be allowed to play in the next game until fine is paid. (We have a large number of families and children in attendance.  Please respect them.)

-1 Technical Foul Per Game Per Team. 2nd Technical Foul will result in Team Forfeit for that Game.  4 Technical Fouls per season team is eliminated from the remainder of regular season and Tournament. 

-Individuals with 1 Technical Foul will be subject to disciplinary action, per GM of the Northern Center Discretion Individuals with 2 Technical Fouls will result in a 1 week suspension.   Individuals with more than 2 Technical Fouls in a season will be suspended from The Northern Center and any subsequent leagues for 3 months.

-Teams may have a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 9 players for their official team roster. Rosters must be sent in with first/last names of every team member, their age, a team/city name, and a designated team captain who will represent their team and provide their contact information.

-Once the second game of the regular season has ended, no more additions to teams may be added.  In order to play in the tournament, roster players must have played in at least 2 regular season games.

-Additional Rules may be implemented per GM discretion and/or captains vote. Votes must be a majority. An even vote and proposal will not pass.
